Anmwee Sauce - Fermented Haitian Hot Sauce, Danger Level
Anmwee! ("Help!") - the sauce that makes you scream in two languages.
Phafo's Anmwee Sauce is our most extreme version: raw, fermented, fearsome. Inspired by traditional Haitian pikliz, it pairs the natural fermentation of fresh vegetables with scotch bonnet peppers for volcanic heat with deep, complex aromas. Every drop is a culinary adrenaline rush.
Why you'll love it (or scream)
- Danger / Extreme level: the hottest in the Phafo lineup
- Artisanal fermentation - unmatched depth of flavor
- Raw, alive, no cooking - aromas stay intact
- No artificial coloring, handmade in Montreal
How to use it
With discipline. A few drops on grilled meats, tacos, burgers, rice, roasted vegetables, eggs, or pasta. Also in a marinade to really make a statement. Keep away from beginners - and quiet Sunday family dinners.
Ingredients
Vinegar, onions, shallots, carrots, scotch bonnet peppers, sea salt, spice blend, and love.
Anmwee = "help" in Haitian Creole. You've been warned.
